As RENEW's senior investment manager, Prasoon plays an integral role in RENEW’s Ethiopia office, overseeing the pre- and post-investment activities in country, as well as RENEW’s core investment activities, working closely with RENEW’s Investment Committee and portfolio managers.
Prasoon has extensive experience working and investing in frontier markets. Before joining RENEW, Prasoon worked as a research analyst at The Safe Investor, a U.S.-based personal finance media company helping American investors invest in growth markets. Prior to The Safe Investor, Prasoon helped Nishkama Capital, Multiples Alternative Asset Management, and Black River Asset Management invest in public and private companies in both developed and emerging markets. Prasoon held a product management role previously at M-CRIL’s online platform in New Delhi, India helping global investors invest in Asian social enterprises in consumer finance sector. He co-founded Cardinal Edge, a risk management and agriculture commodity research startup based in New Delhi. He started his career at Aga Khan, an international non-profit, and built a dairy supply chain in rural Gujarat.
Prasoon graduated from Haas School of Business with an MBA in 2013. Prior to Berkeley, he completed a post graduate diploma in rural management from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) specializing in agribusiness and supply chain management, as well as a bachelor's degree in commerce from University of Bhopal.
